Hi,

My friend offered to buy me a bouncer or a swing-which do I want? What is the difference between them? I don't think I have room for both so I thought I was going to go with the swing (FP Rainforest) but I could really use help to know forsure.

TIA!!!

Well. I thank most babies like the bouncer. and it does take up less room.
they vibrate and bounce. & they are also a lot cheaper, like say where a swing is $100, a bouncer is $25-60.

But. if your friend is buying it, I'd go for the swing and if Baby doesn't like it you could get a bouncer a lot cheaper then swing.
and a lot of babies like the swing better.

oh, you could have her get the Graco Swing 'n' Bounce (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7964359) since it does both!

or the Bright Starts Elevated Bouncer (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7732463)

this is the one I'm getting.:wink2: I don't like how all the other one's are on the floor.

My first prefered the swing so this time around we were going to skip the bouncer. But we ended up getting a really simple one because it is easier to move around the house when I need to focus on DD1 but stll want DD2 to feel like part of the party. The bouncy seat also comes in handy for shower time because you can bring it into the bathrrom. Basically, the swing lives in the living room ans sees daily use and the bouncy seat travels around the house and also sees daily use.

If someone was offering to buy one and was willing to spend $80-100, I'd have them buy the swing and buy the bouncy seat myself. If they couldn't spend that much (or I didn't want them to) then I'd have them buy the bouncy seat and I'd buy the swing myself.
