I am leaving my kids with my mom and sister. Mine are 3.5 and 6.5. If they are not kept busy I am afraid they will be driving each other nuts. I was thinking of leaving a bunch of things for my sister and mom to "pull" out to do when they needa something new!

Ideas:

Movies from the library

Any thanksgiving craft ideas?

list of fun games they can play?

Bake cookies!

Any other ideas????

I love the ideas from The Crafty Crow (http://belladia.typepad.com/crafty_crow/). I also like exploring the blogs she links to. We have found a bunch of really fun activities.

Family Fun always has great ideas for crafty things to do with kids!

My thoughts were ...

take walks
ride bikes/scooters
fly a kite
kick a ball around
do you have a tball set? Let the boys hit some balls and your older one can practice their pitching skills too
blow bubbles
play with playdoh
make cookies, brownies, rice crispy treats, cupakes... whatever your kiddos like best!
Paint .... get some good washable paint and heavy paper! Maybe have them make stamps out of potatoes or cut out of sponges first and then use the stamps... 2 activities in one
turn on some music and play freeze dance or just dance around
make popcorn and pop in a movie

I wonder if the library has one of these books or you could pick one up from a B&M bookstore if you would like to own it!

A friend told me about this website with great craft activities. It costs $20 per year, but updates the activities all the time with new, season-appropriate ideas.

So great! Thanks for sharing! I've just bookmarked that. The googly eye frame is cracking me up. :ROTFLMAO: Also love some of the food ideas - the Mummy Dogs and the egg eyes, for example.

To the OP, you're received lots of great ideas. My girls are about the same age and I just asked my Mom for her thoughts - a pencil and some paper, a ball, sidewalk chalk, and maybe a roll of slice and bake sugar cookies and some toppings.
