I'm really liking them. Well, the few items we have... I kept wanting to get a Toddler Tote for DD to play while we're flying, but I haven't placed a KidSurplus order lately. I finally picked one up at a yardsale for $1, and it has been a hit. I stuck it in her backpack and she played with it semi-quietly at church when she was sniffly and couldn't go to the nursery.

We gave the toddler tote to another 2 yr old at a b'day party last week.

Does anyone else have or like these puzzles? Which ones do you like?

We've had the toddler tote for over a year now and DD loves it. Great for church!! I like that you can order replacement pieces if needed, although, we've been good and haven't lost any so far. Very well made and just a great toy.

We have a store here in Georgia called The Schoolbox Store and they sell quite a few of these.

Would recommend!

The piece replacement thing is so cool. I'm tempted to pick up some incomplete ones on ebay and make an order for lost parts. The older alphabet sets I've picked up for the future look great.

I don't have any of these products, but just wanted to say that they look like great toys. I'm off to check them out! Thanks for posting!

Thank you so much for posting these! I am due in dec with my second, and was looking for activities to keep my 3 1/2 year old busy. I think the Primer Tote will be perfect!

DS got the birthday cake puzzle (in primary colors) for his second bd and he loves it!

He now dumps all of the pieces out and turns over the cardboard insert with the outline of the pieces on it and then puts all of the pieces back together without out the "hints".

Great! So that's the kind of thing I want to know...The puzzles say 3-6 for the most part, and I would like to know if they are fine for 2 yo's or if they really need to be closer to 3 to get them.

Do you think the could be something we could give as birthday gifts if I stocked up on a variety of them?

I bought the Toddler Tote 2-3 years ago for my son (probably about 2 at the time) for a travel toy. We were travelling a fair amount, and it was so light and small and packed nicely for something to do in a hotel, airport, etc. We took it on a cruise and entertained ds (not even 2 yet) several nights with it. At almost four, he'll still play with it. Definitely worth the money!

We have the firetruck crepe puzzle, but I will say that it is a little hard. Some of the puzzles have fewer/larger pieces though.

Definitely! We got DS's for his bday and that is one gift he is still consistently playing with several times a day. I thought the bday cake one was cute as a gift!

the primer pak,

and the smart shapes and stacking pegs (this has changed slightly since we got it)

she STILL plays with a lot of these toys--they are awesome! those stacking pegs are so so so fun.

we've passed on a lot of the easy puzzles from the toddler tote to my 2.5YO niece.

last Christmas i got DD the horse pak (she's obsessed with horses).

Lauri stuff is the BEST. well worth the price. :-)

Anne, thanks for telling us about all those. I wondered about some of the ones you mentioned, and I've never seen the Horse Pack. What a riot!

Actually, I went back to their site to see them all and there is a cute Fire & Rescue pack as well.

I also got one of the plain boards where the pegs go in, but it is old and the pegs don't stack.

Does anyone know where to find the best prices on their stuff? I keep looking at it on KidSurplus.com but the inventory is low right now.

Amazon.com has some but not much of a discount.

My kids love the stacker board and pegs though.

glad to help. i hadn't seen the other activity packs--they are so cute!

when i bought the Lauri stuff, i googled "Lauri" and got a list. i am pretty sure i bought from the following site and everything came pretty quickly. this was a couple years ago (and last Christmas) though, so i can't swear to how things are now.
http://www.liveandlearn.com/lauri/index.html

it seems like the prices are mostly the same no matter where you buy (or that was the case when i was buying). i have liked the Lauri stuff enough to feel like paying for shipping is worth it.

i was just thinking the other day of getting DD some of the more difficult puzzles. they have a good carousel puzzle dd would like (it has horses)!

cheers,
anne

we loved them growing up and my mom gave DS a few last year and ordered some more for this Christmas (and had them shipped to me and told me I should keep them until then-grr). The ones with lots of small peices are so annoying. We do have a train one I should get out again. DS keeps trying to eat them-grr.
