We are getting a new nanny, and she has asked for some information on the appropriate things each child should be learning and skills they should be developing at different ages. They are 1 and 3 years old. Can anyone recommend a good resource? Thanks!

The series "your One year old" and "your three year old" is great -- shortish books with developmental info. They are a little dated so you have to filter out the mom-centric focus if you have an involved DH etc.

The books the pp said are really good. I also like the AAP's "Caring for your Baby and Young Child." It goes through age 5 and it breaks down physical, emotional and cognitive development by age stages. It's a good reference.
