Jackson Charles update w/ pic

Jackson Charles Baxter made his arrival on Monday October 20th at 8:31 pm. He weighed in at 10lbs 1oz was 22 3/4 in long with at 15 1/2 in head. We did elect to induce for several reasons ( size & post date) but we also ran into some meconium ( ok alot!) I would have LIKED to have an epidural but that didnt take :( SO we did it without. He's beautiful and nursing like a champ. When DH gets the pics downloaded I will post some.

I told my OB to let his u/s tech know she was pretty close on the size. 6 days prior to his birth the u/s tech estimated 9lb11oz( on that day). He laughed and said he was SURE she would be asking because they like to know how well they do estimate.

I just love baby pictures! What an adorable family and a great name! My DS was huge too (9 lbs 3 ounces and 23 inches a week early) but was delivered by CS due to breech presentation. I cannot imagine a delivery of such a large baby w/o an epi! WOW!!! Congratulations!!!

Congratulations! As I am sure everyone is saying, WHAT a big boy... were your other kids big? I'd like to hear more about how the epidural didn't take and how your labor went.

I never got around to telling you when you posted that you were having another boy that I think your sons are so lucky to have you. I've read your comments about raising boys, from toilet training to discipline to handing over car keys, and I think you're the ubermom of sons!
