What cabinet do you have underneath for components?

When we initially bought our Plasma (50") we bought an Ikea kitchen piece because the TV was not going to be mounted and we had lot of components. The TV is now wall mounted and we can consolidate our components down to 3 plus the Wii.

I just posted the ikea piece on craigslist to see if there's interest but now we need to get a replacement piece. Our Living room is our main room and everything goes on in there.

Do you have a low piece? Tall and narrow?

We are eying the Arbor Media Stand from Pottery Barn. Anyone have this?

we have a unit by Salamander. we bought it at the same place we got the TV, a place that sells high end audio and video equipment. we could "build" the piece to the width and height we wanted. ours is just a bit wider than our 55 inch plasma, and about hip height. we could also pick the finish color.

what we liked about it besides being able to pick the size, is that the sides and front are made out of a mesh-y material, so the components won't get too hot.

we have the synergy system, "triple" 65.75" wide, with doors. you can customize to your needs. poke around the site and you can see what they have.

It is very modern/contemporary looking and compliments the 58" and room nicely! These were very reasonably priced at a local furniture store. It fits all of our components with room to spare.

The cable box, receiver and DVD player will fit in each of the 3 openings.
The drawers can be for Wii pieces, DVDs, remotes, etc.

I got this and it's matching pieces http://tinyurl.com/5ura9s from Target. Since this is the family room, I was not looking for expensive. I have had it since Feb, and so far so good.
