Posted this in the October new moms/preggo thread but wanted to post pics as well so . . .

5lbs 15 3/4 ounces
18 inches

I had to be induced due to low amniotic fluid one week before my due date. The induction was going well and I had progressed (slowly over 25 hours) to 4 centimeters and 75% effaced. Then at 8pm the doctor came to check me and bad news. My cervix had begun to swell up and I was regressing. I was now only 50% effaced. The baby still looked good on the moniter but the doctor thought it wasn't going to happen naturally and waiting could lead to complications and she wanted to get her out while she was still showing no signs of distress.
