i've been to nyc plenty of times but only once since i've had a baby...

are there any cute baby shops i should try and go to? i'm there for a wedding i'm a part of but i'm staying a few extra days so we don't have to be rush-rush.

ps. i'll be staying in the city, financial district but around soho/chinatown area a lot too. (but open to all of the city for recs!)

bump to rephrase:

i'm looking for any place that sells nice clothes for cheaper or a baby boutique type place that sells cute accessories you can't find at the regular mainstream chains.

thanks much!!

There are loads of baby and children's boutiques in Manhattan. Here are a few links...

Bill Cosby's daughter just opened a children's boutique in Tribeca - I think it is on Thomas Street close to Hudson. I'll see if I can find more info.

ETA: Some info about the store here: www.dailycandy.com/kids/new_york/article/38201/Salty++Sweet -- I have been dying to get there myself. Doesn't look cheap, but really cool. And, if you need a cupcake while you are in the area, head over to Tribeca Treats on Duane Street. There are a bunch of cute kids places on these side streets.
