Air Hockey

So we just got back from vacation where DC was obsessed with Air Hockey! We played for a few minutes while waiting for a table at the hotel and that was it; it was almost impossible to keep the kids away from the arcade.

DH and I are considering getting a table top Air Hockey game for Christmas. Does anyone have one they like? There's also the floor version where the puck "floats", but that seems like it will be prone to breaking and I haven't been able to find any reviews.

If anyone could give us some suggestions as to where to start and what to look for (or avoid) we would really appreciate it. We've looked at the one on the Land of Nod web site, but know nothing about what we should be considering as important. All I know is that DC would be absolutely in heaven if we had our own machine.

Years and years ago, I got one for someone and it was from Sports Authority and about $250. It was awesome, and the adults loved it a lot! Wish I had a game room now!

We'd love to get a full size table, but the budget and space issues prohibit it. I think our price limit is around $70, but I'd prefer to spend less. DC's friend was playing shooting games and I wanted to stear away from them and air hockey was available. Who knew DC would love it so much...

A lot of the smaller table options are not nearly as good as the full sized tables. The air doesn't circulate as well or something.

everyone in our family loves Air hockey too... we always play when we visit an arcade that has them!!!!
