Thomas Remote Controlled Trains

Years ago I bought my dc some wooden Thomas train sets, but they never got into them. My ds#2 however has recently gotten into trains, and I was thinking about getting him one of the remote controlled trains that Target sells.

I am wondering whether anyone knows if the remote controlled Thomas trains work on the wooden Thomas tracks.
