Does anyone know about Allentown, PA?

A friend is thinking of relocating there.

Is it very diverse?

How are the schools?

Are people friendly?

It is a good area in general. There are great parts to the city and not so great parts. People IMO are very friendly in NE PA. My cousins all still live in that general area. The Emmaus area is especially nice.

Yes

There are good and not-so-good school systems in the area. Allentown Schools are not so good. The school systems in the suburbs (e.g., Parkland, Salisbury, East Penn, Northwest Lehigh) are good.
