cleaning question *DS is sick*

Anyone know how to get brown vomit stains out of carpet? I am going to try to use my carpet cleaner but I won't be able to do it for a few days. I figured I'd try here and see if anyone had any ideas.

Spot Shot? Definitely try to get it up as soon as possible or the smell will soak into the padding underneath.

I got the suggestion of Nature's Miracle (sold in pet stores for pet messes) from these boards. I love this stuff. I have joked we need to get it by the gallon. It got the stain out of DS's floor 48 hrs after the fact (obviously vomit was removed, stain stayed) as well as all traces of odor. I do not know if we could have salvaged his Regent straps without this. It is a miracle.
In fact, writing this reminds me we used our supply up and I probably should go buy the gallon size.

Seconding the Nature's Miracle! It can get out all kinds of "biological" stains, and without dangerous petrochemical ingredients. And between kids and dogs, we not only buy it by the gallon, we use the battery-powered pump sprayer jug!

also agree that pet cleaners work really well. i also have been using some laundry detergent on my carpet and it has worked really well. (liquid.)

Try baby wipes. My mom used to use them to clean up the cat's vomit.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get the 'stuff' and then spray with Nature's Miracle. Both work like a charm!! Magic Erasers are also great at getting vomit out of fabrics - amazing!

Woolite Oxy Deep is MAGIC!! It gets the nasty dog puke stains out of my off white carpet.
