How to clear history from Firefox?

I feel like I am totally missing it. I just bought dh a Christmas present and I don't want the site to pop up when he is online later because it would be a dead giveaway. TIA for helping this tech-unsavvy mom! (I did clear the cookies but that didn't do what I wanted it to.)

Go to preferences, then privacy, then hit clear now. A window should pop up asking what you want to clear (browsing history should be listed first). Uncheck the ones the you don't want to clear. HTH
