Do you think Geo Trax is too advanced for a 16 month old? My Mom really wants to get DS a remote controlled car of some sort and I was thinking of this instead. I keep seeing these for CHEAP at khols. The GeoAir looks cool and I think he would enjoy watching it but I'm not sure if he would beable to use the controller easily? Thats what I'm most worried about I guess. I know he wouldnt be old enough for putting together track layouts and I'm ok with that. I like that these are 2+ and safe for the under 3 crowd. What do you all think?

I don't have the air one (amazing! A Geotrax we don't have! ;)) but with the trains the controller is so easy to manipulate for little ones. It may not do what he wants it to do but he'll be able to get it to do something.

It took till ds was 2.5-3 to stop reveling in the joy of destroying the layouts. So, while he didn't play with it "right" he certainly had fun.

Give it a try and if it is too advanced put it away for a rainy day in the future. :)
