Just had DD tested for allergies. She is not allergic to peanuts, shellfish, eggs, milk, soy, wheat chicken, beef, strawberries (there were 2 others but I cannot remember them right now). She does have sensitivities to milk and soy, strawberries, but no actual allergy. We can reintroduce foods on a limited basis to see how she does (doc suggested trying 1 tsp whole lactaid milk (I am severly lactose intolerant and DD may be as well, but it is to early to tell that) and seeing what happens. Ditto with soy etc...--one food at a time.

doc did tell me that even though she did not show an allergy to peanuts, not to give her any peanut butter until age 2 or 3.

He put my mind at ease. I am relieved. Of course, DD still have excema and has flare ups about once a month, but nothing that can't be handled.

Woot! Glad to hear! I'm sensitive to strawberries. Turn red whenever I eat too many. . but it's so hard because they're soooo good!

Great news!!!

DS had the same rule with peanuts- even though he tested negative we had to wait until he was 3 to start peanut butter. I was so happy to have something new to add to his limited diet...and he doesn't like it!!! Oh well!!
