Has anyone done a background check on a nanny or sitter recently?

There are so many sites on the web I am not sure where to start. If anyone can guide me to a good site to use (or a company that does this) that would be great. My husband thinks we should do a background check but I don't realy know where to even start.

I used to be a nanny.
You want a TB test, done within the past 6 months.
Ask her to go to the DMV for a printout.
Get her fingerprints done through a reputable company, in Cali. it was Trustline.
You can run a credit check, ask to see her school records, and ask for references. Nowadays, you can see if she has MySpace, etc.
A good professional nanny will be willing to give you the above info. I worked with an agency, and they did the leg work for the parents.
