lists different manufacturers, etc. that are pledged to be phthalate-free, etc.
You may want to verify some of these for yourself but I thought it might be worth sharing as people are doing their holiday shopping.

One disclaimer is that in the past, even some of those toys labeled phthalate-free still contained phthalates when tested.
For example, in 2005, 6 of 8 toys tested that were labeled phthalate-free still had phthalates in them, unfortunately. In 2006, 2 of 10 "phthalate-free" toys tested still contained phthalates.
