Great. Just lovely. Thank goodness it's just a proposal right now. Here's hoping it's shot down asap. I think I'll write my reps on this one.

The problem from what I've been reading about these last minute regulatory changes is that it is *very* time consuming and somewhat difficult to get them reversed. DH said he heard Obama has a large number of staff working specifically on figuring out how to handle it if Bush does push a bunch of these last minute proposals through, but from what I've been reading, it doesn't look all that easy to quickly reverse them :(

Certain things are more easily reversed than others. Anything that was an executive order is pretty easy, but for actual regs they would have to go through the rule making process which is usually pretty long.

ARGHHHH! I'm hoping the new administrator in the Obama govt will be more enlightened and hopefully this won't go through prior to Jan.
