do you ever buy refurbished stuff??
my kitchenaid is refurbished. i have had no troubles.
i was looking at an ipod for dh.
we have one but i need a stocking stuffer. any suggestions on refurbished buys? anything i should look out for?

As a matter of fact, just ordered a refurb imac direct from apple. I *always* buy refurbs from apple. I figure i'm going to get the same warranty and i use the savings for applecare, which i'd be buying anyway.

We are about to buy a refurb apple computer and have a refurb ipod. Every computer I have ever owned has been refurbished. Never had a problem.

Very nice stocking stuffer. Can you shop for us?

Our Bose ipod docking station was a refurb from the factory outlet. Came with the full warranty, and was $100 less than the 'regular' ones for sale in the same store.

I didn't know apple did refurbs...Must tell DH!

we only do stockings for each other. we get a family/house gift and then fill the stockings.. it's fun. although last night he told me he wanted a used piano.. i don't have a stocking big enough for that..

You can also get refurbished stuff from ubid.com - like ebay, only the stores are auctioning off stuff (I think - DH always does this type of shopping). Includes the warranties, etc. and we've never had a problem. Most of our personal technology is refurbished, either from the store, and outlet or ubid.

We usually get our cell phones refurbished and have never had any trouble. And they're WAY cheaper!

We've also bought refurbs from apple (ipod) and I have a refurb dyson that has been great. You'd never know!
