We're Cashews here (Catholic & Jewish) and celebrate all the holidays. We really love decorating, who doesnt?! I've done really well with a good balance for most holidays. However, the one thing I cannot seem to find is age-appropriate (read: cute) Judaic kids plates for Hanukkah or Passover. They have total crap at places like Walgreens, and the stuff I ordered from Zion Judaica was awful.

What I'm specifically looking for is the kind of plate you'd get at PBK. A hard, plastic melamine plate with something festive on it. I get DS a plate & placemat for every holiday (so Easter, Halloween, Turkey, Xmas ... skipped 4th of July, but might do it this time around). I really struggle to find that exact stuff for Hanukkah and Passover. So, like these -->

PBK does have Hanukkah stuff this year, but no tabletop. HELP! Thanks so much, guys.

BaileyBea has a couple really cute plates that you can get personalized.

OMG! I don't have any suggestions but I have to tell you that I love the term Cashews! We're Catholic and Jewish too and I've never heard that term!

It's not melamine but ceramic. You could probably find a placemat to match but I didn't see one here...

Cute plate though

Do you have a local judaica store near you? They usuallly sell those types of things. Also, you might find something a JCC gift shop. I have found things at Hallmark and CVS as well (not great, but sometimes better than others).

Thank you so much, everyone! I so appreciate it. Lemme say, TARGET?! I never even thought to look there. Kinda embarrassed ... I like all these options quite a bit, thank you to everyone, I now have at least options!

Yeah, I kinda like Cashew, myself. I think my dad coined it. Knowing my dad, it's gotta be him. Ya got your Russian Jews, your Polish Jews, even your Mexican Jews (really!). DS is a Catholic Jew. Heh.

Deb, go for it. Very inexpensive. I mean, if ya go hog wild, then sure, it can add up :-). But for each holiday for two years, now, I've been getting one plate at five or six bucks, and one placemat, which is about that much. Plus, I also get a tumbler for some of the holidays. So, we have two full sets for Halloween (FAVE in this house, I really need to cut back), one full set for Turkey (didn't do it this year), and will be getting a second full set for Xmas and Easter this year (actually, we don't have an Easter tumbler). So, it's less than $20 per holiday, which isn't bad, and i"m not sure these things are ever going to break or crack. They seem very durable with heavy use.

I can't say the same for PBKs utensils. Very disappointed with their little sets of fork/spoon/knife. They're adorable, and really perfect first real flatware. However, the melamine handles have been breaking off of the fork/spoon portion, and that started just months after the first set. Yes, I put them in the diswasher, but for five or 7 bucks, I replaced them, and then washed only by hand, and they STILL broke off. So, they're not terribly expensive if you fall in love with them, but they haven't held up that great.

Anyway, have fun! And again, thanks to all!

This has been my experience as well. I would skip the PBK untensil sets.
