Looking for a first stocking for our 2.5 yr old DD. I'm thinking PBK because I don't have any other bright ideas. I like these quilted stockings for $19:

but not sure how they look IRL or how well they last. Anyone getting theirs someplace else? I like fun/bright designs more than the traditional ones...

Thanks for any ideas!

PS I have searched the old threads and not come up with a whole lot...and I'm not crafty enough to make one! :-)

I bought my kids stockings from PBK three years ago. They are hung from our banister (we don't have a mantle) at the beginning of December and stay up empty until Christmas Day. They still look brand new.

I've honestly never made a purchase on Etsy myself....but I LOVE looking at the stuff. People are so amazingly creative! It was just the first thought that popped into my head. My grandmother made all our stockings, so I haven't had need to by any yet.....

We have bought stocking from Land's End. And we got the stocking holders too- they are an investment - stockings are 20 each I think and holders like 25 but they are engraved and monogrammed and hold up really well.

I love the look, plus you can individualize with all the different patterns!

Good luck on finding something!

My husband & I bought the Lands End stockings when we got married. We put them out Thanksgiving weekend and keep them out till Jan. 6th. We've had them 7 years and they still look new. There is a free shipping offer going on right now.

We have the PBK stockings you linked to, and I love them. They're well-made, thick material, very high quality, and will last through DS's childhood, I'm sure.

I purchased stockings on Ebay that are handmade from bucilla kits. My son's has santa watching football and eating popcorn and my daughter's has santa holding a ragdoll. I like the fact that each one is a one of a kind and that it is handmade. I did have to pay about $100 dollars each, but we don't replace stockings. We use the every year.

DS1 has one from PBK that I got several years ago and it's held up very well.

That's good to know. I am leaning towards just going with one of those - I think the Santa one is really cute and $19 is a steal.

LE and LLBean too traditional for me with the needlepoint stockings....I think I have had needlepoint overload over the years thanks to my grandmother!)

I looked on Etsy, got over 200 pages of results and after browsing through about 15 pages nothing caught my eye. I am probably too lazy to shop for holiday stuff there but would still welcome any suggestions! Otherwise, PBK here I come.
