1000 babys are due soon, due to the 82nd Airborne division being deployed and having leave at the same time. That was one happy base for a few nights. :cheerleader1:

This article is awesome.

That's heartwarming! I think that Mom's with babies are some of the first to see people once they get home. I think there's a special waiting area for them or something.

Yeah, it is actually this way around most military bases right now. We jokingly call Jacksonville, NC (Camp Lejeune) "Baby Making Capital, USA". So many babies due here that the Naval hospital can't keep up!

We also joke that there isn't anything else to do around here but make babies.... (we are about 2 hours from Ft Bragg)....but really, there are studies that show womem are more fertile when they are in love and fertility increases around "return and reunion" times. My neighbor got pregnant within a week of her dh coming home!

My 10 month old was conceived just a week or so after my husband came back from Iraq in 2007. Thank goodness it didn't happen again when he returned this last time in May 2008. He is now stationed at Ft. Bragg but we only see him on weekends, so hopefully there won't be anymore babies anytime soon!
