My parents bought DD the same one that Kristac posted above for Christmas. We saw it at a local store, and DD liked it. We bought it through a store selling on Amazon for a better price -- but we had to pay shipping. The cost ended up being $35 at the end...

Don't know yet but I have been considering this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Pretend-Play-Calculator-Cash-Register/dp/B00000DMD2/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1226882768&sr=8-2

This one is nice. My kids also liked the Parents one from Target...
http://www.target.com/Battat-Parents-Classic-Cash-Register/dp/B000AV5MF2/sr=1-1/qid=1226885248/ref=sr_1_1/184-1095649-1781323?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Aparents%20cash%20register&page=1

They had a cheap one at one point too, it worked well also.

I think the Learning Resources one is the one we'll get. They use it at our local children's museum which gets a lot of use. DD loves it.

I found i think 10 % off at live and 9% at ebates but I used a coupon so not sure if either will work. If you are a NEW customer at drugstore.com you get $10 off $50 or $5 $25 off

this is a good price for this one to start with from what I have seen. Even better with coupon. I added another small toy to hit $50

Hope it works for you!

DD loves the Learning Resources one too. Don't know of any B&M stores with a good price, but if you are willing to go online, you could try Kidsurplus.

We have the LR one that Kristac mentioned. We've had it for about a year and it gets alot of use and abuse and it works well. All the kids love it and the only noise it makes is a jingle when the cash drawer opens. Also, it works on a solar battery.

Great register.

I got my cashback from live into my account so for $37 I got The teaching cash register ( it has a few more features than the other such as a scale.) And a set of cupcake holders I wanted.
Good deal!
