Hi everyone! I'm looking for bracelets and such for my daughter who will be 18 months at Christmas time. She loves to play with my "prettys" and gets really upset when they have to come off. I have not been able to find ANY toy jewelry for kids under 3. She does still put everything in her mouth, so small pieces completely aside, I'm worried about how many kid's jewelry pieces get recalled each year because of lead! Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

I know that this probably isn't what you are looking for, but both of my kids had fun making these and they love to wear them.

I would just get some adult plastic bangles.

When DD was younger, I bought her some Haba bracelets. I think they are made of wood, and then painted. That may be an option for you. I believe I ordered mine through Kidsurplus.com.

HTH!

DD also loves her "jewels". I bought her a bunch of bracelets at Gymboree that seem really sturdy (in the kid's lines). They're called bead bracelets and are tied together with pretty thick elastic so I would be surprised to see one come apart. She has tons of colors, as they tend to get marked down to a couple of dollars or less as lines change. Here's a link to a current 2 pack of them:

I doubt a whole lot of bracelets will actually be listed for kids under 3. I let DD play with dress up jewelry under age 3 as long as I was around.

What an awesome website! DD still eats cardboard, but some of the other projects are really cute! Thank you!

And thank you ALL for the ideas. I'll check them out!
