We will be moving in to a larger home next year. We have hand me down furniture and have had to be very frugal about design, actually I don't think you can call what we have design. Now that my dh education will finally be paying off we will be able to get some "grown up" stuff.

What magazine has good design ideas? For help, I really like Candice Olsen on Divine Design, I like everything I have seen of her designs.

Thanks!

For inspiration I really like "Elle Decor". Everything is super high-end, but I look for ideas, not specific pieces.

Style-wise, most of my furniture is Rachel Ashwell and I am very much a flea market shopper.

I also read "Country Living", "Home Companion", "In Style Home" and "Ready Made".

Does Candice Olsen/Divine Design have website? They may have some recs for you.

Love Candice Olsen too. I have seen some stuff in stores (Macy's maybe?) that has her name on the label, so she has a line out.
I get every magazine under the sun but my favorites are:
Modern Living
Domino
Dwell
Atomic Ranch ( an obscure mag about redoing 50's ranch homes)

All those are more for modern decorating styles but for more general decorating I also like:
Elle Decor
Architectural Digest

I even like Southern Living and Country Living too, even though my own house isn't decorated like most of what's in those magazines.
