It seems like my makeup collection is out of control with too many pots of Bare Escentuals as well as other little makeup brushes, compacts, etc. I was thinking a train case may be the best solution to make it easy to see everything in a glance. Anyone have any decent solutions for storing all this makeup?

Thanks!

I loved my Mary Kay travel bag when I was using their products. Now that I am mostly using bare escentuals, I prefer a train case. I think it's just an updated Kaboodle or something, from Target. That way ALL those little pots don't get turned over. I also like it because I just leave it on my counter; if people are coming over, I stick it under the sink. If we're leaving town, I just pick it up and go! works great.

I have the makeup I use daily organized in one of those "junk drawer" organizers in the top drawer in my bathroom. The other items that I don't use as much are on a cosmetics tray in the linen closet.

I love using this Ikea box on my counter. I'm also addicted to Bare Essentuals and store my everyday products in one drawer, then sort the rest of the makeup into the other drawers nice and organized. Even all those pesky mini-perfume samples have their own drawer.

I've found that the 9-drawer works the best, but there are other options, with bigger drawers. It definately stores everything. It's super easy to put together, and can be stained to match your cabinets.

For brushes I use: http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/bodyshop/browse/product_detail.jsp?categoryId=cat5110010&productId=prod5860005

I shampoo them frequently.

I switch up my makeup bags frequently because something always ends up exploding in there and there is eyeshadow/blush everywhere. lol. Also, you can find some really cute ones and its just fun to do. I use small ones and only put the makeup I am currently wearing and need to touch up in there. I use a larger Murval holder exactly like this one:

But mine is black. It is quite handy and has a mirror in the top once you open the bag.

I make sure I throw away makeup that is too old or no longer in use so I don't have insane amounts in the first place.
