I wanted to get my DD a dollhouse for Christmas, but was wondering if she is now too old?

Oh goodness no! Not all 5 year olds are into dolls and dollhouses, but lots of them are.

FYI, the nicer miniature dollhouses with intricate furniture are recommended for ages 8 and up. :)

I definitely don't think she'd be too old. I remember getting a tiny dollhouse when I was 8 or 9 and I LOVED it. I wonder what ever happened to that thing?

I got my first doll house for my 6th birthday (Oh Jenny!, anyone remember that, lol) and it was awesome! I probably played with it until I was 10 or 11. I wish I still had it. I also always wanted Barbies and a Barbie doll house but my Mom would never buy them for me. Anyway, I don't think 5 is too old at all.

DD got a dollhouse when she was 3 and it got some mild playing time then. Now that she's over 4, she has really started to enjoy setting up the rooms and doing role play with the dolls. I think 5 is a perfect age to be able to really play with a dollhouse!

My dd just turned 5 and has only recently been asking for one :)
