I'm got problems.
I bought a craft varnish to brush onto the decorations, but the paint that DS put on comes off - we used the washable paints that he has. Would a spray stick on better? Any solutions....do we need to do it all over again???

Thanks.

DS wanted to make Christmas decorations for everyone in the family. He choose red heart-shaped wood cut outs at Micheals. He painted them and then put glitter on the wet paint.

What can I do to keep the glitter from falling off? Spray on varnish?

I was going to hot glue ribbon loops to the back of each heart - any other ideas?

On the back I was going to write the person's name and then DS's name and year with sharpie pen.

For our tree, he choose a horse, a star and a gingerbread man - the star and the gingerbread man are to be glued to each side of the horse - not Christmas related, but his choice.

I am soooo not crafty, so thanks for your help.

You can water down white school glue and use that -- very similar to modge podge.

Also Krylon (it's an aerosole spray).

I second this. I am using it now to make Jesse Tree ornaments and it is working well.
