You attempt to use all of your pieces (various shapes/sizes) while blocking your opponents. Your own pieces can only touch at the corners. It has been a great family game for us for about 2.5 years when DS was 6 and DD1 was 4. Strategy improves with age.

They're two completely different games. You pull a lever on the castle and a shape comes out, you have to match it to your card if you can. First player to fill their card (4 shapes) wins. In my house we play until all cards are full so everyone's a winner.
It's a good game for my two and three year old.

DD had this toy...played with it every day for 2-3 weeks and then not at all. It still keeps visiting kids in the younger age group occupied for 20 mins or so. Good quality toy, and this is a great price, although I'd never buy it for the $30 or so it is listed as being originally, DD got it as a birthday present.

They're two completely different games. You pull a lever on the castle and a shape comes out, you have to match it to your card if you can. First player to fill their card (4 shapes) wins. In my house we play until all cards are full so everyone's a winner.
It's a good game for my two and three year old.

Sounds like fun! I got the reg candyland at the Target $4 sale. Perhaps I should put the castle game on DS's list for this year.

M&D Classic Deluxe Kitchen down to $99.99! I've had this in my cart for a few weeks and might go ahead and buy it today. Anyone have any opinions on this kitchen? I'm looking for gender neutral and durability with boys. Thanks!

We have the M&D kitchen and I am not impressed with it. I too was looking for gender neutral and there weren't a lot of choices. If only DD was playing with it, it would be fine, but now that DS plays with it I can't see it lasting that long. With the wood food we have it has nicks and scratches already. (We have had it 1.5 years.) If I had to do over, I wouldn't have bought it. Just my opinion though. It is made out of pressed board. It is super cute, just not as durable as DS needs things to be.

Kidkraft now has a kitchen in the same style as its pastel kitchen in white and primary colors. We have the regular pastel one and love it, but I might have gone for this one if it was available when we were looking.

An item I ordered dropped from 13.99 to 8.99 and Amazon will no longer do price adjustments. That stinks. She said I could refuse the order and reorder, but then I have to reorder my other items. It makes me mad that other stores will PA and they won't anymore.

Does anyone feel that the amazon deals this year are not what they were last year?

I heard last year that Amazon broke up with Toys R Us right before the holidays and offered super low prices to undercut TRU and become the major toy retailer. I have gotten some good deals this year, but nothing compared to last year.
