Poor little man just bumped his head and needed his ice pack for the first time:(

I just discovered it was leaking that blue gel all over. Is it toxic? It's that small Nemo one you see at the checkout stands at Target. It's made for kids so it shouldn't be toxic right? I don't have the wrapper anywhere so I can't be sure. It's not like I'm feeding it to him, but it's all over his head and my hands. Besides washing up, should I be concerned?

I'm 99% sure those things are not toxic. Just wash up. But of course, for peace of mind, you can call Poison Control.

The blue gel isn't toxic but I still wouldn't recommend eating it.

I don't think so, but don't hesitate to call poison control about these things. I have made nearly a half dozen poison control calls for my boys and no one has showed up to take my kids away yet.

Everything I've called about has not been a concern, but I'm glad I called each time.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I called poison control, who said it the gel is that particular ice pack isn't poisonous, in case someone needs to know for future reference. Phew!

Thank you!
