I want to get my 7 yr old dd some type of MP3 player, but am not willing to pay a lot of money for it. Any Suggestions?

Thanks,

Ann

My DH upgraded his ipod to an iphone, so we gave dd his. Maybe you could look on ebay or Craigslist for someone upgrading? Look on Amazon for reviews of mp3 players?

my oldest has had various mp3 players -
they are a little tricky to figure out - and not as easy as an ipod.
(ds now has an ipod - my 4 year old has figured it out too)

I like the suggestion of finding on on craigslist or ebay -

I researched this and wound up getting my almost 6 y/o a refurbished older generation ipod.

how about an ipod shuffle? Those are less expensive than the other ipods. I think they're also simple and kid friendly.

I agree with PPs you should try and find a used ipod or get a refurbished model. I got my DD one of the cheaper mp3 players and its very difficult to use. Putting music on it is a huge pain. I have to convert all the music to a different format. I usually end up letting her use my ipod because hers is such a pain!

I've been considering the Shuffle for my 8yo ds who desperately wants an iPod, but I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that you can't see what song is playing and that they play randomly.

Does anyone have one and find that those things are not such an issue as they seem to me?
