Either with tea bags or loose tea leaves. This is for dh, so it has to be something he can use at work. Nothing too gadgety. ;) Can someone recommend a good company to buy from? Thanks!

I found this one from Crate and Barrel (http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=722&f=11366). Is this any good? Dh has access to hot water at work, but couldn't use the candle warmer portion of this pot.

another place to look is:

I've ordered tea from them in the past and really enjoyed them. The keemun encore is delish if you like a good black

No more help than that. At work I use tea bags and the instant hot out of the coffee pot :) if at all. I usually just drink water.

Tea Spot Mug System

Bought a couple of these last year (maybe 8oz size?) from Amazon. 4yo DS loves jasmine tea and this way we make it one cup at a time with loose tea. Easy to use and I put them in the microwave and the dishwasher.

Like this:

ETA: This is exactly what I bought:

Teavana Perfect Tea Maker

I got this about a month ago for my loose leaf teas and am in love with it. You just drop the loose tea in and add boiling water. When it's done, you just place it over your mug and the tea pours into your mug. It has a built-in strainer at the bottom that keeps the tea out of your cup and it washes super easy

I have an iPot and love it for my loose tea. Since your DH has access to hot water, all he would have to do is fill his little iPot with the water, place the tea in the strainer and pop it in. Love it!!!

Here is a place that sells it-

I use the Adagio ingenuitea thing daily and love it! I have a small one for work and a larger one for home.

The ingenuiTea is great for loose tea.

Bodum does both a cup size for loose tea: http://www.bodumusa.com/shop/line.asp?MD=2&GID=7&LID=445&CHK=&SLT=&mscssid=9H8N3P9D3DT98LN3MEK2XWDNF3J44UG5

or has various presses and pots: http://www.bodumusa.com/shop/group_lines.asp?MD=2&GID=7&CHK=&SLT=&mscssid=9H8N3P9D3DT98LN3MEK2XWDNF3J44UG5

Ours are older models, but we love them.

ETA: most of the parts are glass on Bodums, but some models have plastic for the infuser part, and I don't know which type of plastic it is. We have the Assam which you mentioned above and it's glass and stainless. We like it. I also just use an old-fashioned strainer in our regular pot.

You've already received some great suggestions, but I'll throw one more out there. DH received the Aletta Tea-Zer Bottle (http://www.greenfeet.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=6011-09116-0000) last Christmas from SIL so he could brew loose tea at work or on the road. It's been great.

ETA: Looks like they've maybe updated the style since DH received it . . . newer version? (http://www.buzzmug.com/cart/shopexd.asp?id=122) It's now plastic and has a sipper top (as opposed to the open top DH's has), but this site says it BPA free and non-leaching.
