I'm nearly done my shopping but there are a few items I am still hoping for a deal on or that I can't find in stock.

Thought I'd post here and maybe someone might have a lead for me :)

Mega Bloks CAT Supertower Crane- I waited too long on this and it is OOS or overpriced. :( I thought I could get it at TJ Maxx for $15 because I saw some other sets in this series there but this is the set that I really want. It is exactly the kind of thing my kid would LOVE and now I'm kicking myself for waiting.

Melissa and Doug Unit Blocks-
I should have jumped when they were $29.xx on Amazon but I was greedy and waited for the price to fall and instead it went up. I only have $30 left in the budget for these so here I sit waiting for it to fall again. :( My AC Moore doesn't have them often and they are B1G1F this week anyway (but I don't need 2!) so I can't use a Q.

Learning Resources Pizza-
I can't stomach $19.xx and the lowest I've seen it go is $16.xx Last year I got three sets for $19.xx

I wish I'd gone for the M&D blocks when they were cheap too....booo!
I can't help you with any of your items, but here are mine:
Bilibos
Gund Comfy Cozy blankets
M&D basic number puzzles (really just waiting for these to be back in stock at my local Michael's where they are only $3.99)
Doll cradles or beds
Snap 'n style dolls

I don't really NEED any of these items, but would definitely love to find them for a steal!

Gifted imaginations has 25% off and free shipping over 65 (and I think she counts the $65 based on original price, you can always call the owner is very nice). This helps with the haba fantasy blocks and the pizza will be $25% off, but the M&D unit blocks are expensive on this site -- original price is 43 so even with 25% off they are going to be a little over 30.

I have my eye on the Melissa & Doug Companion Set (to the easel). $26 on Amazon right now doesn't seem like a good value, considering the easel itself is that price on sale!

I want a Plan dollhouse for my 3yo DD. I am kicking myself for not buying it off ebay when there was 30% live.com rebate. I'm debating settling for the M&D that is on sale on Amazon.

LOL! That is what I did. I wanted the Chalet, but got the M&d one instead....

I have some birthday money DD received from MIL as a gift, with a note saying we should take her to the toystore and let her pick out something.

I'm thinking about a really nice human-looking puppet (we had one we found 2nd hand at a library sale that was just a paper mache head on a simple body, and for whatever reason, both kids fell in love with him. Sadly, he's lost his head :ROTFLMAO: and I"m having trouble reattaching it LOL.). My other thought is some Duplo for DD (she likes her brother's Lego). eta: oh, and a Remo drum, which is something I've always wanted for both DC but never purchased.

I'm torn between ordering with the sales going on or waiting until after Christmas to see what is on clearance.

If I saw a great deal on Duplo, Magnatiles, Snap Circuits, etc. I might bite on those still. I am disgruntled with amazon and haven't ordered from them in over a year, or I'd consider Blokus (for us) and some Zingo sets for the gift closet.

Hmmm...pretty set on Christmas stuff, I think. But I'd love the KitchenAid Pro 6 qt. mixer for me (was too slow to make the decision when Amazon had the great deal last week), as well as the Battat dollhouse for DD for her b'day in June.

i would love, love, love a deal on the wooden toys made by grimm's spiel and holz! they are so beautiful... but sooo expensive.

i know there is a store in seattle that sells them and is having a 10% off everything sale in january. however, the discount is barely worth the effort of driving into seattle. :)

I *REALLY* need the Little Tikes Pickup Truck for XMas. Its around $99+ ship but seen it get down to $64 with FS on Amazon. I've been trying to purchase it since October. Its either been out of stock or at full retail price. I signed up for the Little Tikes email deals but it was never "on sale".

I'm not considering other cozy coups from craigslist. This one is much taller and fits 2 (twins) It also has a pull down tail gate which should add to the fun...

Fingers are Crossed!

have you opened it up? How does it look? I'm sure as soon as I decide on getting the M&D one it will be back to full price.

It is supposed to arrive today. I feel so bad I have a steep driveway (I just shoveled it), we got a foot of snow last night, and it is 32. Poor UPS guy.:48:

I am opening it to account for all of the pieces, and then packing it back up til next year. It has received really good reviews, and for $100 less, I just thought of all of the other BBB deals I could get with that $! I debated, and went for it. I did buy the Plan Tree house on babycenter, for $34. That, too will be a future gift. DD is only 19 months.

If anyone else is looking for M&D unit blocks, they're now $32.99+free ship on Amazon. Not quite as cheap as they were but still not bad.

FP's laugh and learn home. i bought one for full price bc it's a gift from my parents (they gave me money so i could buy it here and they wouldnt have to pay for shipping).... but she's 7 months, so i don't necessarily need it now?? i wanted to make sure she got one though after reading all the rave reviews here.

are there any good deals after christmas too??

Yes! This is a very good time. Was for us. They were just starting to scoot around and really "play" with things and move their hands. I bet by 8 months they will be all over this thing! You did good! :)
