Any Experience with Playskool Clip-o's?

I had a credit to burn at Kohls and a fellow shoppper talked me into these for 17 month old DS. she said her DD (same age) loved them at Christmas. I bought them and read some questionable online reviews. Wondering if anyone here loves them?

My 18 mo got them for Christmas. The only attention they've received has been to throw the pieces around. I am not crazy about them myself because it seems hard to put the pieces together. But then again, I haven't really given them the time of day yet.
