So for how long do you keep saying "Happy New Year" to people?

How long should this go on? I try to remember to say it to people when I first see them after the new year or talk to them on the phone for the first time.

When do you think you'd stop, even if you havn't seen someone yet? Just curious!

First 2 weeks of the year if you haven't seen them?

I say it for the first week or so after, and only to people I am just seeing for the first time.

My MIL on the other hand says it for wks, and has said it to me every time I've talked to her since Dec 31 - probably half a dozen times now. I am wondering when she'll stop.

January 2nd....unless maybe for close friends or family that I haven't seen yet.

Never thought about it really...probably for the first week or two depending on who it is and if it's the first time I've seen them.
