Sorry, I can't find our manual anywhere and I need to adjust the footrest ASAP. The last two times I put her in it, she tried to stand up and get out! I think I had read before that when their feet are flat, it needs to be adjusted down--which hers are.

Do you have to untighten and redo? I tried just pulling it out a bit and it wouldn't budge. Now that I think about it, I'm sure that's how you do it.. but just checking if there's an easier way.

You have to loosen the screws all along the sides on each side. It should then slide out. You may not have to do the very top ones but you have to loosen at least a few sets to get the chair to widen a bit to slide the footrest out.
Her feet should still be able to rest on the foot rest though, per the instructions. The foot rest shouldn't be lower than where her feet can touch.

Right. I thought the feet had to touch but not be totally flat on the bottom piece. Is that right?

When do you have to adjust the seat part?
