When did you stop putting your baby in a high chair? Our son (17 months now) seems to prefer to sit at the table like the rest of us -- but of course he is too short. So I thought about getting a booster seat for him.

They've got offbrand Cooshies for $15 at Babies R us that seemed like they would help -- has anyone used them? I'm sure there is a reason the Cooshies are $35. Should we keep him in the highchair until he's older? A tripp trapp is out of the budget.

The cooshie type booster we had didnt strap on to the chair and Nathan fell off with the booster and bumped his head ( big ol goose egg) If you get a booster get one that straps fast to the chair.

Here's a cooshie booster that straps to the chair....never seen it IRL, but Keekaroo seems to have several new products out....

We use Cooshies. But, the kids were about 2 or a bit over when they moved to them. Before that, we had a booster strapped to the chair and with straps to hold them on. DS1 still uses the Cooshie at 4.5 years, so they'll get some use.
