Anyone have extremely warm gloves/mittens that you can recommend. I bought a new coat in chocolate brown and everything I currently own goes with black and gray. I have VERY cold hands. I probably have Reynauds (haven't been tested but I can't hold frozen food or chop cold meat for more than a few seconds before I'm in pain) so most gloves/mittens that I find at the department store just aren't warm enough...even those with "thinsulate."

I bought down mittens from LLBean in December and love them for walking the dog. I also purchased a pair of fleece ones from Lands End and am pleased with them. They were the insulated themacheck ones. Both pairs have been doing great in the frigid temps the past few weeks. They aren't the most stylish gloves, but I traded style for warmth years ago! Also, I find that my cold hands do better in mittens than gloves, but both came in glove styles.

Thanks! I was looking at the LLBean down mittens. Glad to read they are warm. I might have to go ahead and order those.

I don't see the exact mittens I have from Cabelas, but these are similar. They are what I pull out when it gets down in the single digits. Most gloves have 30 or 40 gram Thinsulate so these mittens are so much better with the 100/200 gram. Stylish they are not; but when you are dealing with Reynauds like symptoms, warm is so much more important!

I will also add silk glove liners from Cabelas to my regular gloves to make them warmer (sort of like long underwear for my cold fingers).

I have these mitts: http://www.chlorophylle.net/produits.php?lan=en&idp=Women&cat=35&scat=103&model=44611 and these gloves: http://marmot.com/fall_2008/womens/gloves/snowsports/womens_randonnee_glove The Marmot are warmer than the Chlorophylle even though they're gloves, not mitts. On warmer days (above -15 c) I wear these: http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=84552444254 4477&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302698971&bmUID=1232415635767 HTH. I used to always be cold until I found these :)
