Why is Cablevision closed today?

Sigh. I have ten minutes of time to talk to a CSR on the phone, and the Cablevision voice mail says they are closed today because of the holiday. What? I didn't realize inauguration day was a national holiday.

Where is their CS center? Many businesses are closed near Washington DC because it simply is not possible for many people to actually get to work today.

Also, you may have called before their opening hours and gotten a message that's leftover from yesterday, which *was* a holiday - I got a similar message when I called my bank (a local bank, not a national one) this morning a few minutes before they opened at 9.

They're open now. I called at 9-ish, and then after 10 and got the message each time. When I tried again after 11, they were answering the phone. I guess they got a late start this morning!

I'll have TV again starting Friday! (We've been using a rabbit ear antenna since August.)
