I was looking at the Maclaren strollers on ebay tonight when I came across a couple auctions saying "2 strollers for the price of 1." From what I can see it is offering one stroller plus an additional seat and hood in another color. Is it possible/easy to change out the seat?

Here is a link to one of the auctions

I have found a lot of reviews on line saying that the seat is easily removable for washing, but they say the hood is not removable. If I buy this will I be able to remove the hood to change the colors, or should I just stick with a single color stroller?

I don't think the hood is removable. I switched the seatbelt setting on my Mac Quest and I found THAT to be difficult and couldn't even imagine trying to remove the fabric to wash it.

The hood is removable from the stroller, but not from the frame of the hood itself.

I've removed the fabric to wash it and don't remember it being too difficult. I've never tried to remove the hood though.

I believe the fabric is connected to the frame via buttons, not snaps. I have both a Quest and an older Rally (a double). I have only removed the fabric from the Rally. It wasn't overly hard, but it wasn't easy either. I don't know if I would do it other than an extreme instance where I absolutely had to wash the fabric.

Thanks for all the advice! Maybe I should just go for one of the single ones without the extra seat.:D
