Has anyone used a wrap for a baby 18 lbs. and up? What seems to be the weight limit for comfortably carrying with a wrap? Any suggestions are welcome.

I can still comfortably wrap my 26 lb two year old in a woven wrap. I have a new baby, so he doesn't get worn very much right now, but I wore him all the time while I was pregnant over the summer. I used a Didymos linen blend indio. Worked great for us.

Any non-stretchy wrap will work for a baby that weight. Many moms carry their kids until 30+ lbs - basically until the child wants to walk themselves and is no longer happy being carried. Didymos and Storchenwiege are two popular German brands but there are tons - check out www.thebabywearer.com for info.

I agree that any woven wrap should be good for that age. Didymos and Storchenwiege are two that are very popular. You might also look at Hoppediz, Gypsy Mama wraps and Ellaroo wraps, which are all a little less pricey.
