Cork Flooring

So this is a follow-up to my post about our basement. Do any of you have any experience with Cork flooring? If so do you think I can do it in my basement? I am on a mission to find something other then carpet.

A friend had it in their kitchen/ living area. It was really nice and seemed quite durable (they have 3 large dogs.) I don't know anything about cost or installation though.
