what do they really mean? I am looking for a dance class for DD. She's 2 years 7 months.

The school I'm looking at now (online) has breakdowns like this:
class 1: 1.5-2.5
class 2: 3-5
class 3: 5-7
So, I'm assuming that there is nothing for the 2.5 to 3 crowd, since the "5" is repeated in the other listings. You take class 2 until you're 5 and then from 5 until 7, you take class 3.

On the other hand, DS1 takes a nature class that is listed 3-5 and I asked and they mean through age 5, rather until age 5.

I'm just confusing myself, I am sure. But, what do you assume is the right way?

Hmmm....I guess I'd sign her up for the first one and when that session is over, sign her up for the second one.

I would call and ask them. Our experience with dance class was that the ages/levels they posted on their website were more or less meaningless! Maybe ours was unusual, but I was reading her the description on the website and she had no idea it said what it said.
