We really need a driveway guard, to prevent balls from rolling into the street, and help block the kiddos from running into the street.

I've looked online, and found these two options:

Does anyone have a driveway guard? Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Robin

We were going to get one last year, but ended up not doing it. Honestly, we park our car across the end of the driveway (not the greatest answer, but it has worked for us--we will see about this summer). Our major concern was that DS and DD could just as easily go around the posts on either side and go into the street (as could balls etc...).

I don't quite get how it works. Don't the kids, balls, toys, etc. just go around the guard?

Maybe I'm not visualizing the right situation.

It would not be meant to secure kids in the driveway. Balls and kids could go around the guard. In our driveway, however, we have a basketball hoop, and when we are playing basketball the balls typically roll right down the driveway. So the guard would mostly serve as a ball stopper, and eliminate the need for kids (and us grown ups) from having to go into the street to get the balls much of the time.

But I guess it is not a very popular item, since no one has replied that they have one so far!
