ISO treasure chest :)

My 3 yo girls are obsessed with magic keys and treasure chests. I wanted to get them each a cute chest with a key - maybe for Valentines. Maybe jewelry box size or a little bigger. I don't want to spend a ton. Has anyone seen anything that might work?

The first thing that came to my mind is to check Michael's or Hobby Lobby, - maybe even Wal-Mart. I couldn't find a link on the Michael's website, but I know they have "wooden" jewelry boxes & trunks that you can decorate and design yourself. Might be fun!

We have this one and it is so cool. We filled it with loot and put it in
a trash bag and buried it in our backyard. Then we went on a pirate
treasure hunt. My DH even carved arrows in a few of our trees to
mark the way. Then there was a big 'X' on the ground in stones to
mark where we should dig. The kids went crazy digging. It was
so much fun!!! :)

Thanks for the ideas! I will check them out. I have seen the IKEA one, but I don't think it will work - they want one with a key that works! Must be from something they watched :)

Yup, we have a few from the Party store like the link posted above. They LOVE the key. Look in the pirate section of the birthday supplies.
