Hat recommendations for 11 yr old just diagnosed with cancer?

My friend's daughter was just diagnosed with leukemia. She's started chemo immediately and they told her to expect to lose her hair within a couple weeks. She has long hair now and will be cutting it short this weekend. I want to get her some hats to wear- whether inside or out- from dd and myself, just for something fun and cute and upbeat. Recommendations?

First, lots of prayers and positive thoughts going to that little girl.

Second, search this forum for Emmas Mom posts. There is a whole thread dedicated to hats for her and a very good link about making wigs out of your own hair!

For an 11 yr old I think scarves would be better than hats imo. You can go to Jo-Ann fabrics and let her pick out which fabrics she likes and make scarves from them.
