Just heard--Wondertime magazine is being shut down

Disney is shutting down the magazine. It's not yet on their website--couldn't find it if it is... but a woman whose blog I follow is a contributor and she had it on her blog.

So in the last few weeks three of the magazines I read--Domino, Simple Scrapbooks and Wondertime all have folded.

I wonder if print magazine is going to be a thing of the past soon (along with the newspaper)

Hmmm...I just got my first issue of a subscription...I wonder if they are going to reimburse or what they will do for subscription holders?

Oh no! I love that magazine. It is by far my fav parenting mag and one of my faves over all. And I think I have a subscription for two more years. I wonder if they will offer another option in its place? What a bummer.

I don't think magazines will ever go away, but there certainly is fierce competition for the market. That's too bad about Wondertime; I'ver enjoyed my subscription.

I also just got my first issue and I enjoyed it! For those who don't get Family Fun, I highly recommend it, lots of cool crafts and the recipes are good too.

The samething happened to Child, I think that's why I have Parents Magazine until like 2010.

Wondertime, is that the Jr. version of Highlights or is that different one? I just ordered one and I can't remember which one it is and we haven't received our first issue yet.

The jr version if highlights is High 5. It is for preschoolers. Wondertime is for parents of preschoolers.

Wondertime is very similar in look and format to Real Simple - it's geared towards parents. I love Wondertime and will miss it. But, a sub to Family Fun isn't a bad runner-up - I was going to subscribe to that one anyway because their website is soooooo sloooooow and it's annoying to try and use it.

That really stinks. Wondertime is actually one of the few mainstream parenting magazines that doesn't bug the crap out of me.

Bummer! Out of all the mags that come, Wondertime is the only one I actually make a point of reading (well, besides Newsweek). I'm going to really miss it!

So sad! I *just* renewed my subscription AND sent two gift subscriptions to mommy-to-be friends for Christmas presents!!!
