I don't remember the title or who wrote it, I just remember bits and pieces of the story.

It is about an old lady that has a lot of cats. She feeds them milk out of little saucers. The old lady has a bad tooth and no money to get it fixed. A gray kitten lays on her cheek and makes her tooth feel better.

Anyone have any idea of what book I am talking about?

Have you asked your library's children's librarian? He/she might actually know.

How about "When the Wind Blew" by Margaret Wise Brown?

Wow! I really think that it is. Is there a way for me to get a copy to see if it is the book I am thinking about (I would have to see the pictures in the book). If it is the right book, where can I buy it?

Both amazon.com and alibris.com are good sources for used and out-of-print books. I usually check both to see which is cheaper. As for looking at it, if your local library doesn't have it, they can probably search a network of libraries for it.

Check to see if your local library does "interlibrary loan" for titles they don't have. This is usually a free service, sometimes there is a small fee. I also found someone on Amazon has posted a pic of the cover;

You can also get used copies (paperback looks cheaper) through the links to their sellers there.

I hope that's the right one!
