I need to keep myself busy for the next couple of days and have been itching to get back to crocheting. I started a afghan and I remember the sticth to be pretty easy but I can't remember how to do it. If I rememeber correctly, I started the afghan in oner corner and then worked two sticthes and then three and so on. So I was working back in forth in a straight row but more like an upside 'L'. Does this make sense to anyone?

Any help would be appreciated.

I think that I know what you are talking about. I have a pattern for that somewhere in my pile of stuff. I find that dishcloth patterns adapt well to afghans (increasing hook size and yarn gauge, of course). Here are a couple of links that might help you:

But the upside-down L thing has me confused, so maybe this isn't right.

Thank you! I'm going to print out and try the pattern from the first link.

OK - I tried that pattern and it was more confusing than I remember. I found the original blanket I was working on and I am trying to recreate the stitches. It looks like it ch3, sc, ch3 (repeat all the way across and then down the row ((so your crocheting the length and the width at the same time). Then turn(sc) and dc3 in each ch3.

Does this make any sense at all? or am I completely making up my own pattern?

Thanks for your help.
