View Full Version : ISO Deals on Winter Coats (for me)

I was getting in the car yesterday, when my son said to my husband, "I see the hole in mama's elbow!" I don't know when it happened, but there was a giant rip down the sleeve of my coat. Ordinarily, i'd look into having it repaired, but the coat is a lint magnet and it has a few other things going on with it, so I could really use a new one. Do places like Macy's still have good deals going on on winter coats, or did I miss the sales for the season? Anywhere else that might have a decent selection?

You could try JCPenney. They have 75% off (original prices) on clearance. I got gloves there yesterday. The selection on coats varies by store, I'm sure.

Love this jacket! If your Sears carries LE, most of their winter stock is on clearance and there's an additional 30% off.

Okay, I just have to brag. I picked up this Lands End parka in pink at Sears the other day. It was $120 marked down to $59 (it's still $79 online). Right after the guy rung it up, I remembered I'd been carrying around a $25 LE gift card in my wallet for two years, so I asked if I could please re-buy it with the card. It turns out when you return something from LE and exchange it for something else, you get an extra 10% off - who knew!? So it came to about $28, and it's the comfiest coat i've ever owned! It's so warm and the pockets are lined with fleece, so they're nice and soft. Yes, I do feel like i'm 8 years old all in pink, but I'm so tired of wearing black coats all the time that it's a nice change. =-)
